Why You Should Visit Bristol

Bristol might not attract all the international tourism headlines, but you’d be mistaken if you overlooked this gem of a cultural hub in England!

Bristol is home to the oldest continually-operating theatre in all of England: the Bristol Old Vic on King Street.

It’s also the hometown of internationally-recognized street artist, Banksy.

Prefer nature? Check out the Wookey Hole Caves that were formed by an underground river.

If you’re a history buff, Bristol was carpet-bombed during WWII and had to largely rebuild from scratch. But that doesn’t mean you won’t find interesting ruins in Castle Park along the River Avon. Or enjoy historic Bristol Harbour and its many tales to tell.

Come to Bristol in August and marvel at the colourful and fabulous Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. It’s beyond Insta-worthy!

There are countless reasons to visit Bristol, and we can’t wait to share our insider tips and favourite photo spots on our Bristol InstaTour.
