Hen Party Accommodation in Edinburgh

Hen parties are always so much fun, it’s hard to have a bad one. But the best ones are always well organised in advance with a great “Henhouse” or central spot to be your HQ for your trip. Here we give a rundown of some of the best options for Edinburgh for Bachelorette party accommodation,

City Centre with four stars

The aptly named Courtyard is a four star Marriott hotel in the heart of Edinburgh at Baxter’s Place right beside Calton Hill. It’s the perfect mix of price to quality to location ratio for any Hen party in the “Auld Reekie” (nickname for Edinburgh). It’s a 5 minute walk from Princes street, Waverly station and Edinburgh tram so ensures you’re only a short distance from all the important activities for you stay.

The Tripadvisor reviews write warmly of their bright decor, excellent pricing and again on their location to the centre. The prices change regularly depending on deals but a good average would be 80 pounds per person per night. This is a great option as a launching pad to your full hen weekend in Edinburgh!

Even more central!

Holiday Inn express is a worldwide famous brand where you know exactly what you’re getting when you book, peace of mind of a certain standard. This three star hotel is located right in the middle of all the action on the Royal Mile and a short distance for all the main things to do in Edinburgh, you will save a lot on transport costs by staying somewhere like this.

They have a complimentary breakfast, hotel bar and restaurant for any quick meals needed. Their price is roughly the same as the Courtyard but not as plush. Their Tripadvisor reviews reference that the rooms can be a bit small but again strong on location, price and friendliness of staff. This is an ideal place if you’re going to be out all the time for the Hen weekend and just need somewhere to sleep, get ready and safely store luggage, you’ll need a strong list of recommendations for other activities and restaurants to suit that. Instagrammable Boutique Hotel

Tigerlily is one of the most beautiful hotels in Edinburgh, their website gives off the elegant charm of their stylish decor and mannerisms. This boutique hotel located on George’s Street has some unique offerings such as a seafood bar, open log fire in the lounge and traditional afternoon tea. There’s also an option of the upgraded suite with 4 poster bed and free standing hot tub, ideal for any bride-to-be to feel like a princess for an evening.

Their many many reviews across multiple platforms (Tripadvisor here) highlight the great service with staff regularly being name dropped, expectations seem to be high with his hotel so some reviews are disappointed when things aren’t always 10/10.

This is one of the pricier options for a Hen Do in Edinburgh, we got 95 pounds for our date spot checks but be sure to contact direct if you have a big group to secure the best package.

Classified as a four star experience, the aparthotel is based at Canongate, quite close to the main train station of Waverley.

The video below shows you all these features neatly and the benefits of their Edinburgh experience.

Their Tripadvisor reviews are a bit mixed and not sure if some people were ready for all the “innovations” in their room, the sink being in an unusual place was mentioned quite a lot. On pricing, they come in at 126 pounds per person per night so be sure to check with the Whatsapp or Bride to be if this suit everyone’s needs.
