Cork is a wonderful place to go for a Hen party. It’s known as the culinary capital of Ireland, there’s plenty of great restaurants and activities to keep your group entertained. In this article, we’ll give the run down on options for Hen Party accommodation, from the luxury spa to the budget accommodation options.
The classy city centre hotel.
The Metropole is a hotel steeped in history (123 years to be exact!). You’re located a 10 minute walk from everything in the city. This is the perfect option if you have a lot of budget and want to have a big night out with bars and nightclubs. You’ll need transport to get to your activity unless it’s an InstaTour in the city centre.
It’s certainly not the cheapest option with rooms starting at 135e shared for one night, but you may be able to call and negotiate for a group booking.
Their current Hen party options include:
- Afternoon Tea with or without Prosecco in The MET Tea Room (you can book this room exclusively for your party)
- Party in The MET Prosecco Lounge in the evening with tasting platters and Prosecco
- 3 course early bird dinner at The MET restaurant
- Private book The Snug for your drinks and canapés
- Cocktail making classes from our head mixologists
- G&T tastings with our bar team
- Prosecco flight tasting workshops in the Prosecco Lounge with our Prosecco Concierge
Luxury Spa and Hotel option
Another luxury option is the Montenotte hotel, a bit more outside the city. This hotel boasts a great spa and relaxation package for a more pampering Hen party experience. They’ve helpfully prepared this video to show the benefits of their package for Hen Do’s. Be prepared though for booking large taxi’s to get round to enjoy the full benefits of the city.
Looking at pricing from different websites, 100e per person per night seems to be the best price on offer for Montenotte for Hen parties. They’re close to Kent train station in Cork so provides a great transportation option. Hen party reviews from Tripadvisor speak of their beautiful balcony for drinks, great breakfast with special mention for the eggs and regret of not booking a full dinner there!
Budget option
For the budget Hen party, you can’t go far wrong with Travelodge. though named after Cork airport, it’s only a 15 minute drive from city centre (though 30 minutes during peak times). Priced at 48e per person per night, you can save money to use towards activities, night out or dining experiences in the city. You will need to do a lot of organising yourself with this option as it’s really just a place to sleep, leave bags, get ready and grab a quick bite to eat.

Super Budget option
A super budget option for any Hen party in Cork is Bru Hostel in Cork city centre. It’s very much shared accommodation with backpackers around the world but at 29e per person, there isn’t much room for extras or options. It’s well positioned with a 10-15 minute walk from al the bus station and train station, and also has a shared kitchen so be sure to stock up on the Coco pops for those post night out hunger feels. Similar to the other Cork budget option, you will save money to use for activities, nightlife and dining so it’s a fine balance for deciding. Just be aware that it’s communal showers and rooms so leave plenty of time for getting ready!

Clayton Hotels Cork is nestled right in the city centre of Cork, again a great place to base yourself for exploring the nightlife, enjoying the city’s restaurants or doing a city centre activity like InstaTour. It’s priced on some websites at 85e per person which is quite reasonable considering what’s included, best to contact them to get an updated rate. Don’t underestimate the benefit of a late check out and breakfast for a Hen do, the others at the party will be thanking you for it! The next day They also interestingly mention a partnership with Hen kayaking on the river Lee which is sure to be a unique experience.
